Extensive In-House Lab and External Resources

Our in-house laboratory is capable of performing a myriad of tests and screenings allowing us to catch problems early so we can treat them faster and more efficiently. Tests we can perform include:

  • CBC

    (complete blood count)

  • Chemistry

    (internal organ function)

  • Urinalysis

  • Fecal Testing

  • Cytology

    (analysis of skin/ear samples)

  • Biopsies

While our capabilities span the gambit of pet diagnostics, sometimes it’s beneficial to send out tests to external laboratories for expert opinions, or for simply the sake of time and cost. Pre-operative bloodwork is always done in-house for fastest results but everything else can be sent out as needed.

Pet X-Rays and Ultrasound

The latest technology in imaging allows us to see beneath the surface. Our pet x-rays are done with digital radiology for precise imaging, minimal radiation, and faster results. Additionally, we use ultrasound to see live images of your pet’s internal organs, joints, and cavities. Veterinary imaging is useful for diagnosing the following:

  • Location of foreign bodies
  • Breaks or fractures
  • Organ function
  • Joint tissue and mobility
  • Kidney and bladder stones
  • Abdominal issues
  • And more!

When appropriate, our digital x-ray images go to a board-certified veterinary radiologist for review so we can have an expert opinion when needed. Additionally, an ultrasonographer can be brought in when needed to help us with more complex scans.
